Philosophy
My philosophy of ministry is centered around Matthew 22:37-39.
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
I believe that we are to love God with all of our being and make Him first in our life, then we are to love others as we love ourselves. As a minister it is my responsibility to teach this to His church and to demonstrate this in my life, leading by example. This will prepare us to go out and live the great commission by sharing God’s love and forgiveness to everyone.
Core Values
There are many core values that a church should have, but I believe that we should start with a few, do them well and continue to branch out from there as we grow spiritually and in number.
Biblically Based – The Bible alone dictates what we believe and practice.
Evangelistic – Reaching out to others with the message of Christ.
Grace – We will foster an environment of love, acceptance, and forgiveness for one another.
Stewardship – We will give of our time, spiritual gifts, abilities, and finances to further Christ’s kingdom.
Worship – That we worship God in spirit and truth so He receives all the glory and praise that He deserves. John 4:24
Discipleship – We will train and teach the body to become true disciples of God.
Fellowship – Growing in relationships with one another builds and unifies the body.
